Parent Coaching is a powerful solution to create power-FULL people...

Parent coaching integrates the best research on neuroscience, psychology, attachment research, and behavioral studies. Don't worry, Ron Huxley will provide this in a practical, real-world way that will meet your individual needs.

Parent Coaching is Trauma-Informed

The trauma-informed parent looks at rebuilding relationships from the inside out versus the outside in. Instead of focusing on rewards and punishments, it creates real change through emotional safety, connection, and regulation. Parenting tools will be provided that use the parent as the source of grounding and regulation. The parent must understand their own trauma history and respond to themselves and the child in ways that prevent retraumatization.

Parent Coaching uses protective factors

Protective factors are attributes in individuals, families, and communities that promote the health and well-being of children and families.

PARENTAL RESILIENCE helps to cope with the stresses of everyday life and create flexibility and inner strengths to bounce back. SOCIAL AND EMOTIONAL COMPETENCE helps children regulate themselves and communicate effectively. SOCIAL CONNECTIONS find healing network of friends, family, neighbors, and community resources. CONCRETE SUPPORT add basic needs, such as food, shelter, clothing, and transportation as well as essential services such as child care, health care, and mental health. KNOWLEDGE OF PARENTING AND CHILD DEVELOPMENT educates on appropriate expectations, healthy parenting practices, and trauma-informed caregiving.
